KR Podcast with Dinty W. Moore

Author and KR workshop instructor Dinty W. Moore sits down with KR‘s Elizabeth Dark to discuss creative nonfiction, the tackling of truth-telling, the evolution and significance of his work with the journal Brevity, and tension between being productive and slowing down.

Dinty W. Moore is author of numerous books. How did he manage to publish so many books? Well, after brief, disastrous employment as a zookeeper, a modern dancer, a Greenwich Village waiter, a documentary filmmaker, and a wire service journalist, he had little other choice. He has been published in Southern Review, Georgia Review, Harpers, the New York Times Sunday Magazine, the Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Gettysburg Review, Utne Reader, Crazyhorse, and Okey-Panky, among numerous other venues.

Elizabeth Dark is the associate director of programs for the Kenyon Review.
