KR Podcast with Carl Phillips

In this month’s podcast, Carl Phillips talks to Contributing Editor Andrew Grace about his writing process, whether or not one should want to be called a “poet’s poet” and, by acting for the past five years as judge for the Yale Younger Poetry Prize, what he’s learned about the next generation of poets.

Carl Phillips is the author of over a dozen books of poetry. In 2013 he was the recipient of the Kenyon Review Award for Literary Achievement. He has taught for many years at Washington University in St. Louis. His newest book, Reconnaissance is available from FSG as of September 1st.
