Turing

With every wind, a chirping in the bladed vent. And I knew it was a dead thing as I knew each wind as none if wind alone, and so I read the pattern here and there as cypher, for what, I did not know. The way pitch dropped each time the weather left it, I heard the arc of some small bomb or ghost departure and thoughts of the noted code breaker who lost his best friend as a child. Over and over he heard the name he gave, in time, his thinking machine that was, yes, no thinker, no singer of thoughts new thought makes, and yet a savior, pitiless against the codes that kill, and dead brilliant as bronze weeping from the crucible. Poured in words that blow through us. Their emptiness.
