The Philosophy Of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan edited by Paul Arthur Schilpp. Tudor Publishing Co. $7.50The most important thing about this book is that it has appeared. For it is the eighth volume of the now well known Library of Living Philosophers, and it is the only volume thus far in that series which deals with the thought of an Eastern philosopher. It thus becomes the first testimony to the fact noted by Professor Schilpp in his preface that "this series was never conceived in a narrow, national, racial, religious, or in any other provincial fashion. . . . It was inevitable, therefore, that an Oriental philosopher of such world-wide reputation as Sir Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan should become the subject of a volume." Too bad, one reflects, that it will doubtless be impossible, for the present, to include a volume on an outstanding Chinese philosopher.
