Eight Poems

Tonight I plan to meet With the moon With the full moon Seven minutes Left till seven. I am a simple teacher From Kaleh Gun village I have twenty-four students With shaved heads Glowing eyes And round white collars. There is a celebration At my neighbor’s house For an occasion I do not know. The man came The man came with a scythe Clusters tangled— A severing, an arrival.  A seminar of moon and sun At the cusp of dawn. Twenty thousand miles Beneath the ocean: A line of poetry,  Twisting between moss. Veteran money vendors Steady the times By resting their hands. Poor lovers In the night’s darkness Scatter secret poems Away from the night patrol’s eyes. Vendors  Vending verse.
