Characters  ELLA: a woman in her late twenties, early thirties  SNAKES: her former husband, 55, a truck driver  NERVENE: former wife of Snakes, a lady with a truck Setting A trailer house with couch, TV, and a yard with chaise lounge, located outside Wendover, Nevada. (ELLA is arranging a chaise lounge in the yard of her trailer house.) ELLA: The second guy I married, he was a grim bugger. He was forty-five and I was twenty-seven. He drove P-I-Es for a living. Pacific Intermountain Express. Trucks. He never laughed. He put me up in this trailer park outside of Wendover, Nevada, because he had this other girl friend that was ready to kill him. And so he was hiding out. Bet you was never in Wendover, Nevada. (ELLA arranges herself on the chaise lounge, face to the sun, eyes closed.) ELLA: All's I can say about Wendover, Nevada, is if you was hiding out, Wendover, Nevada, would be the place to do it. Even the flies don't want to fly in Wendover, Neva
