Falcon Press. $2.00. There are any number of ways of approaching Proust, and the three items on our list indicate that variety. Studies and documents of his life, from the formally biographical to the minute and gossipy, are one main category of publications; and they are often attractive, for Proust had the experience of a society of considerable fascination, now dead, an experience which on the whole we find enviable.
