Join us at AWP 2024 in Kansas City!

If you’re attending the Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference in Kansas City this week, please come see us!

Visit us at booth #1433 in the exhibit hall in the Kansas City Convention Center, Thursday, February 8 – Saturday, February 10. We’ll have stickers and magnets to give away, a daily raffle for tote bags, recent issues of our journal for sale, and information about our workshops, journal, fellowships, submissions opportunities, and more. We especially encourage contributors to stop by the booth. Workshop staff and faculty will be on hand with pastries, coffee, and fruit during our workshop information hours on Friday, February 9, 1:00–5:00 pm CT. Our annual AWP subscription deal also runs simultaneously online (see below!).

On Thursday, February 8, we co-host an offsite reading event with Adroit Journal, The American Poetry Review, and Pleiades at The Bird Comedy Theater (103 W 19 St, Kansas City, MO). Social hour begins at 7:00 pm CT, and the reading begins at 8:00 pm CT. The Kenyon Review will feature readers Melissa Beneche, contributor to our Black Estrangement folio, and KB Brookins, a contributor to our Fall 2023 issue’s Luminous Gender Vessel folio. Free to all. RSVP here!

Even if you don’t make it to Kansas City for this year’s AWP conference, you can still take advantage of our AWP subscription discount—as high a subscription discount as we will offer all year. Purchase a one-year Print-plus-Digital or Digital-Only subscription and use the coupon code AWP24 at checkout and get $10 off (55 percent off the newsstand price for print issues). Offer expires February 13.
