Adam Cayton-Holland talks with KR’s own Katharine Weber about his new memoir, Tragedy + Time, his career as a comedian, his sister’s suicide, and the many influences, from comic books to television, that have shaped his sensibility along the path to success.

Comedian Adam Cayton-Holland has appeared on CONAN, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, Happy Endings, Deadbeat, Flophouse, Hidden America, and @midnight. He has also been featured on the Nerdist, Comedy Bang Bang, and Sklarbro County podcasts. Cayton-Holland has performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs, SXSW, and Bridgetown Comedy festivals, and helms his own comedy extravaganza in Denver: the High Plains Comedy Festival. He has also performed at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. His new memoir is Tragedy + Time (Touchstone Books, 2018).

Katharine Weber, the author of six novels and a memoir, is Editor at Large at the Kenyon Review and the Visiting Richard L. Thomas Professor of Creative Writing at Kenyon College.
