Jorge Luis Castillo

Jorge Luis Castillo, professor at the University of California in Santa Barbara, is a scholar of Latin American literature and an award-winning fiction writer. His most recent book is titled La Virgen de los Boleros.

Suzanne Jill Levine is a distinguished translator of Latin American fiction and poetry. Recent publications include her translation of Eduardo Lalo’s Uselessness (University of Chicago Press, 2017). Among her original works are Manuel Puig and the Spider Woman: His Life and Fictions (FSG) and The Subversive Scribe: Translating Latin American Fiction (Dalkey Archive).
