Amy Hassinger

A professor of creative writing at the University of Illinois, Amy Hassinger has published three novels: Nina: Adolescence (Putnam 2003), The Priest’s Madonna (2006), and After the Dam (Red Hen Press 2016). Her writing has been translated into six languages and has won awards from the American Best Book Awards, IPPY, Creative Nonfiction, Publisher’s Weekly, and the Illinois Arts Council. Her nonfiction appears in publications including the New York Times, Sierra, Creative Nonfiction, Fourth Genre, and Los Angeles Review of Books.
