Fare forward

Kudos to Wave Books for turning our ears out of the lipstick/pig thicket and into some poems. Over at Poetrypolitic.com, Brandon Shimoda and the Wave citizens are posting a political poem daily from now until the election.

The poems (as well as essays and even Muriel Rukeyser’s FBI file) coincide with the publication of the anthology State of the Union: 50 Political Poems, edited by Joshua Beckman and Matthew Zapruder. All royalties from the publication are being donated to Swords to Plowshares, a non-profit supporting American veterans in San Francisco and beyond.
